A long wall of windows gives this MacDougal Street penthouse exceptional daylight and a strong urban outlook. TIOR STUDIO responded with a pale sofa, glass coffee table, and open-frame lounge seating that keep the room visually light.
Warm timber, a ribbed media console, and sculptural lighting provide structure and depth. The result is refined but relaxed, with every element supporting the view and the generous circulation.
A Lounge Chair Held in the Window Light
The open timber lounge chair creates a distinct reading position beside the sofa while its slim arms preserve the brightness of the window wall. A small stone side table completes the seat without closing the passage around it.
Ribbed Storage Quietly Grounds the Screen
The long white console gives the television a deliberate architectural base rather than letting it float as a separate object. Fine vertical ribs add shadow and texture, while a few tall branches keep the low media wall balanced in height.
Curved Timber Frames a Compact Retreat
The chair’s continuous timber arms wrap a generous ivory seat, bringing a warmer crafted note to the room’s pale upholstery. Beside it, a round stone table offers a practical surface while repeating the chair’s softened geometry.
The Arc Lamp Draws a Single Fine Line
A slender black arc rises beside the curtain and bends toward the seating zone with almost no visual weight. Its graphic curve contrasts with the strict window grid and gives the bright corner a precise vertical accent.
Glass Preserves the Open Center
The transparent coffee table spans the seating group without obscuring the textured rug or narrowing the view toward the windows. Low ivory upholstery and widely spaced furniture keep the room conversational, legible, and visually connected to the city.
